Artist's Comments

The last in my series of guards of the Temple of the Immortal Chinamen. This is the one designed to be most like a human being.

The general design is a simple sari - and - choli design, but I omitted the drape down the front so the choli could be seen. If you'd like to make this, as always, contact me for design and construction notes.

The excerpt for this guard:

"Here there are guards clad in the rich splendor of India. Their sinister skin stands sharply against the soft, golden sari that drapes from each shoulder. Their weapons are fantastic spears with great cages fitted over them. Each also carries a dagger in a half-moon shape tucked into the low waist of the sari. When on duty their eyes remain closed, with the image of a strange cat eye applied to their lids in fantastic paint. But on any alarm their eyes flare open in an unblinking stare: revealing the empty voids beneath."

I like the design on the skirt. It beats souless beings with spears and cat eye makeup... but only by a liiiittle bit.
